And so many people are all “poor Marie Antoinette” “poor King Louis” and the revolutionaries are evil sadistic serial killers.
Monarchy is dictatorship, oppression, tyranny, inequality. I don’t understand how anyone could defend dicatorship, oppression, tyranny, and inequality.  The revolutionaries were trying to get rid of them, they were trying to create a fair, free, and happy democracy.
Of course, most people who defend Louis Capet and the monarchy live in a democracy, and probably take it for granted, and have never had to experience a world where some people are just ”born better than other people” and therefore “have the right” to kill, starve, torture anyone who dissagrees with them, and “have the right” to starve millions of people and they rob them of their basic needs for their own vastly excessive luxury. I wonder how they’d like it.
